DSD February 15, 2017: "U C ME" - E R I K featuring Dalton Wixom

Shaun Cordingley

Welcome to the "Daily Song Drop": theguysfrom.com's song of the day feature where our resident indie music writer and former DJ Shaun Cordingley features a song every weekday that he feels you need to hear.

"U C ME" - E R I K featuring Dalton Wixom

E R I K is the musical project from Erik Nguyen who has made (with the help of Dalton Wixom, lead singer of the band Late Nite Reading) a fun, groovy little bit of indie dance pop in "U C ME". Feeling a bit like a disco/indie pop rock mashup with a very danceable rhythm (and a surprising amount of piano) to it, "U C ME" just felt like the perfect song for the day after St. Valentines Day.

Give it a listen below:

This is one of those uplifting indie pop songs that is super easy to sing along to, and has a tendency to stick in your head for a while (which I imagine you are going to find out quite soon).
What is also awesome, is "U C ME" is a Free Download, available at E R I K's Soundcloud
...so if you like it, you really have no excuse not to grab this track, plus, you can check out some of his other (also available as Free Downloads) tracks.

As you (hopefully) know by now, I always put together all of the songs we talk about on DSD (and formerly on "Tuesday Tunes") into a monthly playlist, with the latest one,  the Dec 16/Jan 17 Playlist, available now!
Remember, if you want me to expand where I put these playlists beyond Apple Music, you just need to let me know on Twitter, and I'll see what I can do.

The Guys From do not hold the rights to any "Daily Song Drop" songs, it is more our hope to expose our readers to new and different music that we are enjoying, or re-expose them to artists they may have forgotten about.

Above the description of the song will be the song name, followed by the artists' name linked to their website, so you can fall down the rabbit hole, finding and supporting what you dig.
