DSD March 3, 2017: "In the Wild" - HAARM
Shaun Cordingley
Welcome to the "Daily Song Drop": theguysfrom.com's song of the day feature where our resident indie music writer and former DJ Shaun Cordingley features a song every weekday that he feels you need to hear.
In the Wild - HAARM
The first time we talked about HAARM's debut single back in April 2016, I said that I was really looking forward to seeing what this band were going to do next....and here we are, with their next single "Into the Wild".
This track takes everything I enjoyed from their debut and expands on it: the sound pushes its' way into Play era Moby, and keeps the effortlessly cool dual-lead singer vocals.
Have a listen below:
This was everything I was hoping for from a second release from HAARM: the scope feels bigger and more cinematic, the production added a lush and vibrant layer, and yet they still feel the way they did in their first single (again, thanks in large part to their unique vocals). I wish I was in the UK and able to see HAARM live, as I feel like they would be an incredible show, but I will settle for (if the rumors are true) a new record later this month...
Don't be surprised if HAARM show up on theguysfrom.com again: I really love their sound.
Well, I tried my best (...like I actually have control over anything when it comes to Apple Music), and even though we are missing a couple of tracks, the DSD Playlist - Feb 17 is ready, and it's pretty damn great. I've been listening to it for a few days now, tweaking and things, and I feel like it's got a really good flow to it.
Hope you enjoy it too!
Here is the Dec 16/Jan 17 Playlist; it's a chill playlist, but it has a really good energy to it (and we're only missing a couple of tracks from those two months, which ain't too bad).
If you're interested, there is also an Apple Music Playlist for the Top 20 Songs of 2016
There also happen to be ALL the old "Tuesday Tunes" monthly lists, like the one for November 2016! This one is only missing a couple of tracks so it's a fairly full, and fun list!
Remember, if you want me to put these playlists on other services (like Spotify), let me know on Twitter (I've linked it below)
If you're looking for more great music, are late to the party, or just want more theguysfrom.com in your day, here are the playlists for:
There are other (earlier) playlists available for you if you check older "Tuesday Tunes" articles, or search on Apple Music itself.
See you again next week!

The Guys From do not hold the rights to any "Daily Song Drop" songs, it is more our hope to expose our readers to new and different music that we are enjoying, or re-expose them to artists they may have forgotten about.
Above the description of the song will be the song name, followed by the artists' name linked to their website, so you can fall down the rabbit hole, finding and supporting what you dig.
