DSD November 29, 2017: "Are You High?" - Bad Sounds

Shaun Cordingley

Welcome to the "Daily Song Drop": theguysfrom.com's song of the day feature where our resident indie music writer and former DJ Shaun Cordingley features a song every weekday that he feels you need to hear. If you enjoy the track, please share it, so we can keep on talking about great new music!

Are You High? - Bad Sounds

Bath, U.K.'s Bad Sounds make their third appearance here on The Guys From today, having first appeared back in the Tuesday Tunes Days with their track "Avalanche" (that also hit our Top 20 Songs of 2016), and then again back in March on the Daily Song Drop. Today we get to jam on their latest single "Are You High?" which you can check out below:

Everything I have (repeatedly) told you about is here: the awesome genre-bending sound (with a heavy dose of funk), the brilliantly constructed lyrics (there are few indie bands out there who are as consistently amazing with their lyrics as Bad Sounds is..), the chorus that you are going to have caught in your head for days...

Honestly, I'm starting to run out of things to say about Bad Sounds--they're just an awesome, eclectically fun (and funky) alt-rock group who you're really going to enjoy the hell out of (like I do), or you're not....but if you do, be sure to not only listen to the two other tracks we have shared here, but check out their two EP's: Mixtape One and PHRESSSH

For what feels like the first time ever, both the October 2017 Apple Music Playlist and the October '17 Spotify Playlist have every track we talked about on them.
That also, for some reason, meant that it was a list that took a little time for me to get together, but once I got the first few songs figured out (always tricky trying to nail down how to start) everything seemed to click right into place.

If you're looking for any of our past playlists, be sure to check out a Friday DSD feature, or serach for theguysfrom on either Apple Music or Spotify!

See you tomorrow for our next Daily Song Drop!

The Guys From do not hold the rights to any "Daily Song Drop" songs, it is more our hope to expose our readers to new and different music that we are enjoying, or re-expose them to artists they may have forgotten about.

Above the description of the song will be the song name, followed by the artists' name linked to their website, so you can fall down the rabbit hole, finding and supporting what you dig.
